A three-vehicle crash on Grafton Road left one person dead and several others injured on April 30, according to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrived at the scene in the 2500 block of Grafton Road at approximately 6:00 p.m.

According to investigators, a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer driven by Chelsea Deziray Johnson of Uniontown crossed the center line into the southbound lane while driving northbound.

The Mountaineer collided with the rear of a southbound 2020 Harley Davidson motorbike driven by Brian Livengood of Reedsville, causing the motorcycle to crash.

The car then collided with a 2017 Ford F-250 driven by Jerry Robinson from Barbour County. Michael Mitchell, also from Barbour County, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Johnson died at the site.

Livengood suffered critical injuries and is still at Ruby Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Robinson and Mitchell were also taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital for minor or non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.

The collision is still being investigated.

Anyone with information or video evidence of the event is encouraged to contact the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office at 304-291-7260.
