A tragic incident unfolded on Thursday afternoon outside a fast food restaurant in north Houston, resulting in the untimely death of a 17-year-old boy. According to the authorities, he was shot and killed during this unfortunate incident.

A group of students from Aldine High School were in the parking lot of McDonald’s when they came across a truck in the drive-thru line, according to the police. The teen victim was shot at by someone in the truck, as stated by the authorities.

The detectives were in search of the red Dodge half-ton pickup truck, using the license plate as their lead. At this point, the police were uncertain about the identity of the person who had discharged the weapon or the total number of individuals present in the truck.

On Thursday night, Houston police shared an update on social media, stating that they were in North CST with possible suspects in custody. The accompanying post featured a photo showing several police SUVs blocking the intersection of Tidwell Road and Wayside Drive.

Video footage from KHOU 11 shows police officers at the intersection, gathering evidence. One of the officers can be seen taking photographs of a handgun.

According to the police, the shooting could be a result of an altercation that occurred during a soccer game the previous day. It is worth noting that all those involved in the incident were students from Aldine High School.

The Houston Police Department’s homicide detectives are currently investigating the shooting incident. They are receiving assistance from the Aldine ISD Police Department, as Aldine High School is located right across the street.

Police units near the restaurant drive-thru were captured on Air 11. The victim was shot outside of the restaurant while he was on foot.

The incident took place at approximately 3:15 p.m. at the McDonald’s located off West Road, just east of the North Freeway.

The authorities have not disclosed the identity of the victim.

This story is currently being developed and will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
