Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested two men for criminal charges in Arlington, Virginia, according to X postings from the ICE Washington bureau on Saturday.
According to ICE, Francisco Reyes-Ramirez of El Salvador has been charged with felony drug possession and distribution and faces removal from the United States. He is being imprisoned at the Caroline Detention Facility in Bowling Green, Virginia.
According to officials, ICE apprehended Enrique Montes Flores-Espana, a Guatemalan man who had re-entered the United States twice after being deported. He was charged with consensual sex with a juvenile as well as internet sex solicitation.
Flores-Espana’s current location is unclear, according to an ICE inmate locator. He also faces deportation from the United States.
The federal agency’s objective is to “capture the worst first,” with agents around the country pursuing illegal immigrants who have committed significant crimes.
The Arlington County Police Department does not help immigration officers, according to the county’s website. Local officers are likewise unable to defend unauthorized individuals from federal immigration enforcement.
