Two people were arrested following an undercover operation at the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
Shaniqwa Owens, 28, and Isneithta Ra, 41, thought they were bringing cocaine and cash to a jail employee, who would then distribute the drugs to an inmate. Instead, they were apprehended without incident by undercover investigators from the jail’s Criminal Investigations Division.
“This successful operation is a testament to the proactive efforts of our CID agents to protect the integrity and safety of our facility,” said Paul Timmons, CEO. “We will continue to investigate and stop any attempt to compromise this facility.”
Owens and Ra were arrested on several offenses. The investigation is underway.
