According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a 22-year-old died and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Monday morning.
Just after 6:55 a.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Highway 32 in Yalobusha County.
Christian Cannimore, 22, of Clarksdale, Mississippi, was driving a 2015 Kia Forte east on Highway 32 when it collided with a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 69-year-old Mississippi resident driving west on Highway 32.
According to MHP, Cannimore was pronounced deceased at the spot.
The 69-year-old had moderate injuries in the incident and was sent to a local hospital.
A 64-year-old passenger in the Chevrolet from Olive Branch, Mississippi, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
This crash is being investigated.
