Detectives from the Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office have apprehended three suspects in connection with a string of violent offenses, which comprised a gang-related shooting and numerous robberies on February 17, 2025.
Around 3:00 PM on February 17, the first incidents unfolded as deputies were called to the 21800 block of Silver Oak Court in Porter, Texas. Prompted by a report of deadly conduct, law enforcement responded swiftly. A deputy from the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, who happened to be in the vicinity, detected the sound of multiple gunshots in the area. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered several bullet casings, but fortunately, no one had sustained any injuries. Authorities suspect that the shooting is connected to gang activity and driven by a desire for retaliation.
After the shooting, the suspects carried out a robbery in Harris County before returning to Montgomery County to commit another robbery. Detectives successfully identified all potential suspects, resulting in the arrest of three individuals. This achievement was made possible with the collaborative efforts of various law enforcement agencies, including the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force, Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, Montgomery County Gang Unit, Texas Office of the Inspector General, Houston Police Department SWAT team, Houston Police Department Patrol Division, Harris County Sheriff’s Office VIPER team, and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
The individuals who have been arrested are currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail. They are facing charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and additional charges may be added as the investigation progresses.
