3 Month Old Baby Discovered Deceased In Sealed Bucket Inside Home Following Father Told Police He Was ‘safe’

A three-month-old baby has been discovered dead in a sealed bucket inside a house under the custody of the boy’s father. The man has been arrested.

The horrific revelation came after police from the Lafayette Police Department answered a call at a hospital where a woman claimed to have been the victim of an alleged domestic violence incident. Before leaving with their three-month-old infant, Jacob Moneus, the woman told police that her 28-year-old husband Eliasard Moneus had hit her with a tire iron or maybe a wrench.

Authorities searched the house after baby Jacob disappeared from view, and they detained Eliasard Moneus early on Sunday morning in Indianapolis. Police questioned him about the whereabouts of the infant.

According to an affidavit, Moneus told authorities he had no idea where his son was, then claimed the lad was well. But according to Law & Crime, cops searching the house a second time found the infant inside an orange bucket with a snap-seal lid.

According to the Tippecanoe County Coroner, asphyxia with homicide is the first cause of death. The authorities have not yet accused Moneus of Jacob’s death.

In another instance, authorities have accused a mother and two other individuals of murder; they claim that a 3-month-old baby in Georgia died after allegedly being placed in front of an air conditioner covered in a wet blanket.

On Tuesday, August 6, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office received a call about “an unknown situation” at the Budget Inn hotel, located at 1616 Gordon Highway. The call came just after two in the mWhen police arrived, they found Baby Josiah Noel Seright wrapped in a moist blanket in a car seat near an air conditioner at the motel.rrived.

Media reports state that while the unit was allegedly set to 61 degrees for an unknown period of time, the mother of the infant, September De’asia Seright, 19, and two other adults, Lamisha Diane Seright, 42, and Bennie Antonio Nash, 39, stayed in the room and relaxed on a couch and bed.

According to the case record, Wellstar MCG Health received the infant for treatment and certified him dead at 2:37 a.m. According to state authorities as reported by WJBF, The Augusta Chronicle, and The Augusta Press, the infant died due to cold and respiratory failure; however, the matter is still under investigation.

The Cleveland Clinic’s website states that “cold, wet, or windy conditions” could cause hypothermia.” Your body gradually depletes its stored energy as a result of prolonged exposure to cold temperatures. A medical emergency, hypothermia requires quick care; the Cleveland Clinic notes that “babies have the highest surface area for their weight and lose heat the most.”

The three individuals were arrested and charged with second-degree murder and cruelty to a child, per the case report. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office does not yet have any comments available.
