Five Teenagers who absconded from a Wyoming juvenile facility were arrested Sunday in western Nebraska, according to the patrol.
The Nebraska State Patrol learned that five Teenagers went missing from a juvenile facility in Wyoming.
The teens were suspected of traveling through Nebraska in a stolen vehicle, according to the patrol.
Troopers then discovered that the teens had stolen another vehicle in North Platte and were traveling together in both cars.
A trooper saw both vehicles, a Dodge Durango and a Chevy Tahoe, traveling eastbound at more than 100 mph on Interstate 80 near Gothenburg at 4:15 a.m.
The trooper attempted to pull the vehicles aside as they exited I-80 at the Cozad interchange. Both vehicles continued southbound on Highway 21.
The Dodge eventually went off the road and came to a rest in a ditch. According to the patrol, two teenagers got out and dashed into the field.
The Chevy continued for a few more kilometers before coming to a halt. The patrol reported three teenagers emerged and raced away.
After a lengthy search, officers apprehended all five teenagers and placed them under arrest.
They were taken into the custody of probation officers.
