Authorities in Venango Township, PA are making a fresh push to solve the long-standing mystery surrounding the disappearance of Barbara Jane Shumac. Shumac was last seen on December 16, 1982, and now the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Troop E – Erie Station is seeking the public’s help. In a bid to encourage information sharing, they are offering a generous $5,000 reward for any valuable leads that could potentially crack the case.
Shumac, who was 29 years old at the time, went missing from her residence on Kimball Road after having an argument with her husband, as reported by the PSP. It is believed that she left on foot between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on that day. However, no contact has been made with her since then.
Shumac stands at a height of 5’4″ and weighs 110 pounds. She has beautiful hazel eyes and brown hair. When she went missing, she was dressed in a dark blue snowmobile suit, blue jeans, and blue-gray snow boots.
