62 Individuals Facing Welfare Fraud Charges In Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania State Inspector General’s office reports that 62 people were charged with public assistance fraud in the first three months of 2025, with restitution exceeding $500,000.

According to State Inspector General Michelle Henry, her office investigated over 5,000 public assistance applications and averted the theft of approximately $14.8 million in benefits.
