7 people arrested after drug bust in Ohio

Multiple people were arrested, and search warrants were executed Friday evening in Bellefontaine as part of a months-long drug investigation, according to the Bellefontaine Police Department.

The coordinated operation began around 7:20 p.m., when Bellefontaine Police Department officers and detectives, along with Logan County Sheriff’s Office deputies, served search and arrest warrants at Brian C. Mees’ home at 417 East Auburn Avenue.

Three people were arrested at the location: Brian C. Mees, De’Andre L. Tucker, and Chase M. Whiting.

Whiting tried to flee on foot but was arrested by Bellefontaine Police K9 Pyro and his handler, Officer Hostetler.

He was transferred to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of dog bite injuries before being released into prison. All three were booked into Logan County Jail.

Authorities then served other warrants at 417 North Detroit Street, arresting Jeffrey C. Clark, Tonja M. Parsley, Timothy E. Clark, and Roscelle Clark.

Officers discovered indications of narcotics trafficking and use at the property. All four were also booked into the Logan County Jail.

Further searches were carried out at 450 Kristina Drive, flats 7C and 14E, which are both related to Whiting.

Although no people were present at those places, investigators discovered more evidence linked to the current investigation.

There were no injuries to cops or deputies recorded during the activities. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be filed.
