During a traffic stop in Queens, police apprehended a man who was found to have a collection of weapons in his vehicle.

Police officers spotted 27-year-old Judd Sanson’s black Ford Explorer with a blacked-out license plate at 86th Street and Ditmars Boulevard in East Elmhurst around 1:30 a.m., prompting them to stop him.

Upon conducting a thorough search of the suspect’s vehicle, law enforcement officials discovered an assortment of weapons and items, which included a 9mm handgun, nine magazines fully loaded with ammunition, body armor, handcuffs, several uniform items belonging to the NYPD, two axes, a stun gun, multiple knives, a weighted whip, and an expandable baton.

During an update on Wednesday evening, NYPD officials were unable to provide details regarding a written message found in Sanson’s vehicle. The message allegedly stated that he was “sorry” and that he was planning to do something “bad.”

The individual in question faces charges of possessing a weapon and a loaded firearm, as well as unlawful possession of an ammo feed device and an obscured license plate.

Police suspect that Sanson was on drugs and had been living in his vehicle.

On Wednesday, Sanson’s walk-up in Hollis was guarded by police, and witnesses reported seeing him carrying weapons out on the street. Neighbors were alarmed by the sight.

According to a neighbor, he has been spotted wielding machetes and carrying firearms.

According to the neighbors, they had been expressing their concern about the man for several months.

According to a neighbor, the individual in question is suffering from a mental disorder and is not in the right state of mind.

An investigation is currently underway to determine why Sanson was in possession of all the contraband.

The New York Police Department is currently in contact with its federal counterparts.
