Jarod Cook, Young County Liaison Officer, has been recognized with the prestigious Life Saving Award by the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) for his exceptional emergency response efforts. Cook was honored during TDEM’s second annual Distinguished Staff Awards, which celebrate staff members who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and a deep commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of Texans.
TDEM Chief Nim Kidd praised Cook and other awardees, emphasizing that the agency’s staff is its most valuable asset. “Their work embodies the spirit of service that defines our mission,” Kidd stated.
