Thirteen people are facing federal charges in relation to a drug trafficking operation in the Texas Panhandle, as announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas. The charges have been filed as a result of Operation Put It In Reverse, an investigation led by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Last week, the authorities arrested the defendants who now face a 15-count indictment. The charges against them include conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances, as well as possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine. Among the individuals charged are Juan Gabriel Castro, known by the alias “Big Boy,” Luis Gilberto Garcia, Terry Deon Noble, and David Dewayne Keelin. Each of them is facing multiple drug-related charges.

During the investigation, law enforcement officials were able to seize a significant amount of illicit substances and assets. Approximately 70 kilograms of methamphetamine, four kilograms of cocaine, and two kilograms of fentanyl were confiscated. In addition, a sum of $70,000 and eight firearms were also seized. DEA Special Agent in Charge Eduardo A. Chávez expressed the agency’s firm determination to thoroughly investigate this organization. He emphasized that the DEA is committed to holding all individuals involved in this operation, including local street dealers, transporters, and bulk suppliers, accountable for distributing dangerous drugs that endanger our communities.

All defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, as the indictment is merely an allegation.
