A Michigan City man is facing felony charges after allegedly exposing himself to a gas station employee and stealing merchandise, according to local authorities.
Immanuel Paul Means, 33, was arrested on Thursday, July 24, following an incident at the Meijer Gas Station on Franklin Street. A store employee told police that Means made inappropriate comments, exposed himself, and followed her when she attempted to walk away.
Surveillance footage later showed Means concealing several items in his pants before leaving the store without paying. The stolen merchandise, valued at over $50, included condoms, lubricant, a lighter, and a candy bar.
Later that evening, officers located Means naked on a nearby sidewalk and took him into custody.
He now faces charges of public indecency and felony theft, both elevated due to prior convictions. Means is currently being held in the LaPorte County Jail.
