A 23-year-old man has been charged with murdering a 30-year-old man following a shooting incident last month in Chicago.

Anthony Maldonado, the suspect, was arrested on July 10 in the 4800 block of W. Wolfram St., according to a statement from the Chicago Police Department.

The incident occurred on June 15, around 2:23 a.m., and also left a 31-year-old woman seriously injured.

The Chicago Police Department reported that the attack took place in the 3000 block of N. Cicero Ave. in the city’s 25th District. Maldonado faces one felony count of first-degree murder and two felony counts of attempted first-degree murder. His detention hearing is scheduled for today at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California.

Details surrounding the motive and circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation, and the police have not released additional information at this time.
