A woman was arrested for arson in Texarkana, Texas, after allegedly setting a series of small fires in her apartment. Surprisingly, during the arrest, authorities discovered a bar of soap and a tube of body cream hidden in her bra, which contained illegal drugs.

On October 15th, a concerned citizen made a 911 call, reporting that Tanishia Marie Stamps, 36, was seen on the balcony of her apartment on 15th St. holding a firearm. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the door to Stamps’ apartment was slightly open and observed evidence of multiple fires and the oven being turned on. These findings raised concerns among the officers, as they believed Stamps posed a threat to both herself and the residents of neighboring apartments.

During the search, officers discovered a glass pipe commonly used to smoke narcotics in Stamps’ pocket. Additionally, they found a bar of soap and a small plastic jar of Dove body cream in the right cup of her bra.

According to the affidavit, Tanishia was extremely upset when she realized that the object had been found. Despite being handcuffed, she made an attempt to reach it before I could.

The bar of soap is said to have tested positive for fentanyl, while the body cream supposedly tested positive for methamphetamine.

Stamps is facing charges of arson and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. If she is convicted of arson, she could potentially be sentenced to five to 99 years or even life in prison. In the event that she is found guilty of possession of a controlled substance, she may face two to 20 years of imprisonment for each count.

Currently, Stamps is being held in the Bowie County jail, and the bonds against him amount to a total of $150,000.
