The United States Geological Survey reported a 3.1-magnitude earthquake in southeast Ohio early Tuesday morning.
The earthquake occurred shortly after 4 a.m. on I-77 at Senecaville Lake, just east of Zanesville and south of Cambridge. It had a depth of approximately 3.1 miles.
According to the USGS, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 is considered weak. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources reports that there have been more than 30 earthquakes in Ohio this year. You can find the most recent ones here.
