An elderly woman was shot and killed in Jackson on Saturday.
The Jackson Police Department initiated an investigation into the death of Thelma Wright, a 68-year-old individual, around 11:00 a.m.
According to the investigation, the victim was shot at the 3800 block of Meadow Lane.
Wright died at the scene.
The family has been informed about the situation.
