A Roundup In Pearl River County Nets Dozens

Late last week, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Poplarville Police Department, Picayune Police Department, Homeland Security, and the Mississippi Bureau of drugs, carried out an early morning drug roundup.

The agencies have spent several months compiling evidence on people who distribute and possess illegal narcotics in Pearl River County.

The agencies divided into teams and began the operation around 6 a.m., visiting homes in the county’s southern, middle, and northern regions, including both cities.

The arrestees and charges are listed below:

  • Meagan Raezer (35) of Carriere MS: Possession of Controlled Substance.
  • Gilbert Terrance (34) of Picayune MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance.
  • Ryna Bennett (62) of Picayune MS: Possession of Controlled Substance.
  • Michelle Bennett (41) of Carriere MS: Conspiracy to Transfer a Controlled Substance.
  • Alena Sones (39) of Poplarville MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance.
  • Shaun Levasseur (45) of Carriere MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • Vanessa Blankenship (18) of Carriere MS: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • John Weber (30) of Carriere MS: Transfer of a Controlled Substance.
  • Contina Pittman (52) of Picayune: Sale of a Controlled Substance.
  • Yance Agent (49) of Carriere MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance X4.
  • Phillip Dussett (63) of Picayune MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance.
  • Kayla Penton (34) of Carriere MS: Transfer of a Controlled Substance X3.
  • Lutricia Pittman (45) of Poplarville MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance X2.
  • Bobby Mayes (57) of Poplarville MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance X2.
  • Derrion Pittman (37) of Picayune MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance.
  • Quinton Thomas (32) of Picayune MS: Disorderly Conduct.
  • Chad Willis (40) of Poplarville MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance.
  • Jamerson Walker (51) of Carriere MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance.
  • Justin Gibson (40) of Carriere MS : Possession of a Controlled Substance.The following individuals are still at large:
  • Joseph Adams (65) of Nicholson MS: Transfer of a Controlled Substance.
  • Brett Dillard (34) of Picayune MS: Conspiracy to Transfer a Controlled Substance.
  • James Bridges (55) of Picayune MS: Transfer of a Controlled Substance.
  • Torriano Robinson (43) of Poplarville MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance X3.
  • Conner Dallas Baker (28) of Carriere MS: Sale of a Controlled Substance.

Sheriff Allison thanked everyone involved, including the Pearl River County Jail and Transport Staff, the Pearl River County Dispatch Center, and all other agencies.

“Working together to rid drugs in our communities is very important and productive,” he said.
