The Attorney General’s Office announced that a significant amount of fentanyl and “ghost guns” were confiscated during a drug bust at a residence in Pennsylvania.
Authorities have discovered a significant amount of illegal drugs and firearms in the residence of Ismail Hamlin, a 28-year-old resident of Westmoreland County. Inside his home, law enforcement officials uncovered 478 bricks of fentanyl, equivalent to nearly 24,000 street doses, along with 92 grams of crack cocaine. This substantial seizure demonstrates the magnitude of the illicit drug trade.
“This arrest is a testament to the value of law enforcement agencies working together to remove dangerous drug traffickers, and the poisons they distribute, from Pennsylvania communities,” Attorney General Sunday said in a statement. “I commend the officers who collaborated to seize the illegally possessed firearms and ammunition, and enough fentanyl doses to inflict widespread devastation.”
During the execution of the search warrant, law enforcement discovered a total of three assault rifles classified as “ghost guns,” along with two Taurus handguns and a Glock. Additionally, a substantial quantity of ammunition and a significant sum of $19,677 in cash were also seized. It is important to note that “ghost guns” refer to firearms that are untraceable and unregulated.
