U.S. Customs and Border Protection have recently shared a concerning discovery they made near the Canadian border.

While on duty, Border Patrol agents made a surprising discovery: they came across two backpacks that were filled with cocaine valued at over a million dollars.

Officials have announced that a total of 78 pounds were found and recovered in the woods of Washington.

While patrolling the area, agents stumbled upon the large black bags that were simply lying on the ground.

Every day, these agents play a vital role in preventing dangerous drugs from infiltrating our communities.

“Our agents are dedicated and hardworking, tirelessly working day in and day out to safeguard our nation. This seizure serves as a clear demonstration of their unwavering commitment.”

Officials conducted tests on the bricks to confirm that the substance present was indeed cocaine.

After the investigation, the drugs were handed over to the DEA.

It is not clear whether any arrests have been made related to the backpacks.

This year, U.S. Customs has confiscated more than five hundred thousand pounds of drugs, with meth, cocaine, and marijuana being the most prevalent substances recovered.
