Detectives from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office arrested two Bronx men who owed over $124,500 in child support. Following an early-morning operation in New York City,
The arrests occurred at 6 a.m. on April 9, when officials of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the New York City Police Department, executed two arrest warrants in the Bronx.
David Freeman, 46, and Julius Graham, 35, were taken into custody on warrants issued by the Ulster County Family Court for failure to pay child support.
When Freeman was arrested, he owed nearly $118,000 in child support arrears.
Graham owed roughly $6,500.
Both offenders were brought to Ulster County by Sheriff’s Office Corrections Division officers.
Graham was escorted directly to the Ulster County Jail to begin serving a 60-day term imposed by the Ulster County Family Court under a previous commitment order.
Freeman was arraigned in Ulster County Family Court and confined to the Ulster County Jail for $118,000 cash bail.
He is due to appear in court at a later date for additional proceedings.
The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the New York City Police Department (Patrol Borough Bronx), the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, and the Ulster County Child Support Collections Enforcement Unit, which is a branch of the Department of Social Services.
