I apologize for ignoring actual crime truck content. But now I can report on some California police officers who discovered a body in the back of a U-Haul truck. U-Haul trucks can be rented by anyone, which raises concerns about their use. People’s movements are very unpredictable.
California police find body hidden in the back of U-Haul truck
Police officers in Lancaster, California, reported conducting a normal welfare check on a missing person. This occurred around 1:50 a.m. at the Shadow Park Inn Motel.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Steve De Jong stated that when authorities arrived, they spotted a U-Haul truck departing the site.
The event happened at the 44000 block of Sierra Highway. Additionally, security footage from the motel showed the truck leaving just before officers arrived.
They decided to investigate the truck but lost sight of it for a while. The moving truck reappeared at a home on Beech Avenue a few hours later. Then they discovered an open trash container in the back, which contained a deceased adult male.
According to NBC Los Angeles, the scene became chaotic. Authorities detained several individuals. It is unknown whether anyone was detained, and there are other unsolved questions.
The deceased’s name has not been revealed, and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The inquiry is still underway, with investigators working on the matter.
