Autumn Oxley, also known as Autumn Crittendon, the former star of “16 and Pregnant,” passed away at the age of 27 in July 2024. After three months, the cause of her death has now been confirmed.

A spokesperson from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in the Virginia Department of Health has confirmed to TODAY.com via email on Oct. 23 that the cause of death was fentanyl and para/meta-fluorofentanyl toxicity. The manner of death has been ruled as accidental.

According to a statement obtained by TODAY.com, Oxley passed away at her residence in Henrico County, Virginia on the afternoon of July 20.

According to a statement, police officers and fire personnel were dispatched to Oxley’s residence following a report of a medical emergency involving an unresponsive adult female.

Despite the efforts of the Henrico Fire Department members to administer life-saving measures, Oxley was declared deceased at the scene.

In 2014, Oxley, a mother of three children, made her debut on Season 5 of the popular television show “16 and Pregnant.”

In the reality series, Oxley’s pregnancy with her then-boyfriend Dustin Franklin was documented. The show captured the moment when she gave birth to their son, Drake.

In her Facebook bio, Oxley introduces herself as a proud mother of two adorable little boys named Drake and Luke, as well as a beautiful little girl named Abigail.

“We are filled with sorrow upon hearing the news of Autumn Crittendon’s passing,” expressed the statement. “Our thoughts and condolences are with her loved ones as they navigate through this challenging period.”
