A Pennsylvania woman was arrested earlier this week and now faces over 60 felony charges. The charges include institutional sexual assault, inappropriate interaction with a minor, and illegal distribution of prohibited narcotics. Authorities in Pennsylvania allege that the 35-year-old defendant, Michelle, had a sexual relationship with a minor and furnished him with illegal narcotics.
According to the criminal complaint, the boy, 16, reported that he and the woman, a special education teacher, had sexual relations around a dozen times since February of this year. The majority of these instances reportedly took place at the defendant’s parents’ home in Pennsylvania.
The victim also claimed that the woman bought medicinal marijuana for him roughly fifteen times from a dispensary. Investigators discovered that the two used messaging apps and communications to schedule meetings and facilitate illicit actions.
The investigation began earlier this week, after the victim’s family notified the police. After checking the victim’s cell phone and other evidence, authorities confirmed the claims. The defendant has cooperated with law enforcement and is anticipated to surrender to Pennsylvania authorities once medically cleared, as she has previously cited a medical condition.
The 35-year-old lady has worked for the school district since 2014 in a variety of roles, including paraprofessional and educator.
When school administrators learned of the claims, they placed the woman on administrative leave and restricted her from school property. The district has stated its commitment to creating a secure learning environment and is fully cooperating with the ongoing inquiry. Superintendent Richard Gusick underlined that there is currently no proof of additional pupils’ involvement in this matter.
The District Attorney’s Office has stated that after she is medically cleared, they will seek a significant bail amount in accordance with the gravity of the offenses. District Attorney Cristopher criticized the alleged activities, noting that such behavior betrays the faith placed in instructors and will not be condoned.
