Last year in October, we initially reported on the allegations against Pastor Robert L. Carter. On Monday night, we had the opportunity to speak with another family member of one of the alleged victims who had previously come forward against Carter.

“The situation is absolutely horrifying. We have been eagerly awaiting the intervention of the judicial system to take appropriate action,” expressed the family member.

According to a family member, the case is being handled by a new judge who is known for being no-nonsense. The family member believes that the judge is taking decisive action to move the case forward efficiently.

Shortly after facing charges last year, Carter promptly posted a $200,000 bond. According to a family member of the alleged victim, who we have been in contact with, the baby she gave birth to, now six years old, has been adopted by a caring and nurturing family.

“He said that the child is in the best place possible.”

The alleged victim herself, on the other hand, is the focal point of attention.

According to a family member, the reason she decided to take action was simply because she had reached a point of exhaustion. She had grown weary of constantly living in fear.

The loved one of the alleged victim reveals that she has been collaborating with the prosecutor and making efforts to recover from the trauma inflicted by Carter.

“I have never encountered a woman as resilient as her. It astonishes me how she manages to face the harsh realities of life each day without losing her sanity,” he remarked.

The family member not only seeks justice for their loved one but also hopes that this story will inspire other potential victims of sexual abuse to speak up. KPRC 2 has released a series of features titled “Breaking Free” that aims to help individuals in need.
