The Texas Department of Public Safety has announced the arrest of another fugitive from the Texas Top Ten Most Wanted Illegal Immigrants List. And it was a tip to Crime Stoppers that helped authorities apprehend him.
Carlos Venegas Ortiz, a Mexican citizen, was arrested in Tarrant County recently. He’s been on the run and wanted in Tarrant County since October 2024 for “continuous sexual abuse of a young child.”
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 21 persons have been apprehended so far in 2025 from the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list.
Carlos Venegas Ortiz was initially arrested in Tarrant County in 2008. He has been arrested since 2008 for injuring a family member and driving while intoxicated.
