HOUSTON, Texas — Law enforcement apprehended a wanted felon accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s residence and assaulting her, officials reported.
Constable Jerry Garcia’s Special Operations Unit and the U.S. Marshals Violent Offenders Task Force carried out multiple felony arrest warrants for Robert Trevino, 32, related to violating a protective order and burglary of habitation with intent to commit assault. The warrants stemmed from an incident where Trevino allegedly forced entry into his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulted her, as detailed in a department press release.
Subsequent investigation revealed that Trevino’s ex-girlfriend had an active protective order against him at the time of the assault. Deputies and U.S. Marshals located Trevino at a Texas City apartment complex, where he was arrested without resistance.
“This investigation showcased excellent collaboration between Constable Garcia’s Pct. 2 District Patrol Deputies, the Pct. 2 Special Operations Unit, and the U.S. Marshals Violent Offenders Task Force,” the source emphasized.
