Authorities are actively searching for a 12-year-old girl who went missing from Georgia and may have traveled to Florida. As of now, the girl remains unaccounted for and officials are seeking any information that could lead to her safe return.

According to the Hall County, Ga. Sheriff’s Office, Maria Gomez-Perez disappeared from her home in Gainesville, Georgia on the night of May 29 and has not been seen since, which is now six weeks ago.

After speaking to someone on the phone, the girl left her house and hasn’t been seen or heard from since, according to officials. Sheriff Gerald Couch stated that their sole objective is to locate Maria and bring her back home.

At a height of 5’3″ and a weight of 110 pounds, Gomez-Perez is known to be a Hispanic/Latino girl.

According to the sheriff’s office, they have conducted searches across multiple states such as Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Illinois, and Maryland.

The team is leaving no stone unturned in their quest to gather clues. They are utilizing a range of resources, such as intelligence, translators, drones, and crime scene investigators. Their unwavering determination is a driving force behind their efforts to uncover any leads that may assist in their investigation.

Someone has put up a $50,000 reward for the safe return of the child.

“The Sheriff emphasized the continued importance of community assistance in keeping this case in the spotlight, as it has now been six weeks since Maria was last seen,” stated the re-written paragraph.

The Sheriff’s office expresses gratitude toward everyone who has contributed to this case, whether it be by pledging reward money, organizing signage, or sharing fliers. It’s essential to keep in mind that scammers have attempted to exploit this incident using social media. Therefore, it’s crucial to rely solely on the Sheriff’s office social media platforms for trustworthy and accurate information regarding the case.

If you have any information or tips related to this matter, please feel free to contact the authorities at 770-503-3232 or send an email to [email protected].
