PLAINFIELD, Vt. — Over the past few days, Vermont has been struck by multiple devastating floods. Now, communities throughout Vermont and New York are facing the aftermath, as reported by NBC5, WMTW’s sister station in Burlington.

Plainfield, Vermont, is one of the areas severely affected by last week’s floods. Residents woke up to a scene that surpassed the previous year’s devastation.

Jane Bradley, a local resident who had been seeing signs of recovery since last July, is now faced with starting over once more.

“We anticipated the severity, hearing buildings collapse and decks being torn from our home,” she recounted.

However, nothing could have prepared her for the sight outside her home on Thursday.
