According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, authorities have apprehended one of the most wanted fugitives in the state in San Angelo on February 13th.
Dylan Michael Carroll, a 26-year-old individual, had outstanding warrants for his arrest in South Carolina. The charges against him included aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury, as well as a probation violation related to a burglary offense.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) special agents, in collaboration with the Texas Highway Patrol, the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, and the San Angelo Police Department, successfully located and apprehended Carroll.
He faced legal consequences in South Carolina in 2016 when he was found guilty of stealing a firearm and committing burglary.
Carroll faced conviction in Tom Green County for impeding breath/circulation and assaulting a family/household member in September 2024.
In November 2024, an arrest warrant was issued for him in Tom Green County, as he was wanted for aggravated assault that resulted in serious bodily injury. A Tom Green County grand jury indicted him for assaulting another man, causing fractures in his jaw, right orbit, septum, and nasal bones.
According to court records in Tom Green County, Carroll was able to secure his release on February 15th by posting a bond of $50,000.
