State police have apprehended a federal fugitive who allegedly ran into the woods after learning that law enforcement was searching for him at a Jefferson County residence.
Officers found Ronald Eugene Wolf, 56, of Falls Creek, in a forested area near Main Street on Jan. 19. The US Marshals Service wanted Wolf for violating the terms of his release.
According to court documents, Wolf was sentenced to 300 months in federal prison in 2006 for guns crimes.
Wolf is being held in Jefferson County Jail on $100,000 bail and accused with arrest prior to requisition. Federal authorities intend to extradite him, according to court documents.
