The meteorologists have just released the first snowfall predictions for the upcoming winter storm.
The system is forecasted to arrive in the Northeast on Tuesday afternoon, February 11th, before continuing its path northward.
The southern parts of the Northeast are anticipated to experience the heaviest snowfall, with expected widespread totals of 3 to 6 inches. (Refer to the first image above from AccuWeather.)

On Monday, February 10th, the weather is expected to be mainly sunny and seasonably cold, just before the arrival of the new storm.
On Wednesday, February 12, another weather system is forecasted to move from the south to the north, following the departure of the initial storm.
Snowfall amounts are expected to be light in the current forecast, with the majority of accumulation occurring in northern and inland regions of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New England in the Northeast.
