The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said they first saw 39-year-old Cody Ryan Henderson while attempting to make a felony stop on Tuesday.
Deputies say Henderson fled the scene and abandoned his pickup on Daytona Beach. Officials did not immediately locate him, despite a search of the area.
Henderson has lost ownership of the truck.
Criminal history and multiple charges
Multiple accusations against Henderson in Georgia include operating a chop shop, forgeries, terroristic threats, and obstruction.
His criminal record includes aggravated assault, and deputies say he has been known to carry a pistol.
