Is there anything worse than a drunk driver? What about a moving and grooving DUI driver brandishing weapons while driving down the highway? While the dancing may not have been particularly dangerous (unless the intoxicated driver performed some serious moves), this Florida man’s inebriated driving, along with his irresponsible gun-waving, was cause for alarm.

Police arrested a Palm Coast, Florida, man after they saw him ‘waving two guns and dancing in his car’ while he drove drunk

Police in Palm Coast, Florida, probably had to look twice when they noticed a man dancing and flashing two pistols as he drove down the Palm Coast Parkway. After all, everyone has heard the “Florida Man” stories. However, those tales may not adequately prepare you for such an unusual scene.

Needless to say, the sheriff’s deputies in the area wanted to know more about the dancing man. A deputy pulled the Florida man over. Fortunately, the vehicle complied and pulled over to the side of the road. According to police papers, the 28-year-old Floridian and his passenger exited the vehicle, and the authorities handcuffed the dancing duo.

He must have been quite inebriated. Reports state that the motorist asked why they were arresting him. While they were still on the scene, cops asked the car’s occupants whether they had any guns. Given that they had witnessed the driver “waving guns around,” the comment was more of a rhetorical statement.

Consider this: the drunken Florida man was a convicted felon. What about the guns? He told officers that they belonged to his brother. In any case, felons may be prohibited from owning or possessing firearms, depending on the severity of their offenses.

More worryingly, investigators say they discovered an eight-month-old child in the car. In answer to questioning about his drinking, the man replied he had “one beer, maybe,” according to the Observer. The DUI arrestee later mumbled an update to his statement, claiming he had “one or two cups” of beer.
