A former Corinth School District superintendent has been charged by a federal grand jury.

A federal grand jury has indicted Lee Childress in connection with an investigation into a middle school teacher accused of utilizing student images to generate AI-generated explicit child images.

Edward Lee Childress was detained by Alcorn County officials on a felony allegation of impeding prosecution.

Wilson Frederick Jones, a former teacher, also faced arrest on a three-count criminal indictment for allegedly depicting a child in sexual conduct.

The Alcorn County Grand Jury issued both indictments.
