A former Susquenita School District bus driver in Pennsylvania is facing charges after being accused of inappropriately touching elementary-aged students on the school bus for more than six months, according to ABC27.
John Joseph Straining, 50, was reportedly arrested by State Police in New Port and faces 25 felony charges, including three counts of felony institutional sexual assault, indecent assault of a minor under 13, and unauthorized contact with a minor, among others.
According to the news report, two Susquenita Elementary School students said that Straining, also known as “Mr. John,” would tickle juveniles on the school bus despite being instructed to stop.
Police discovered that Straining tickled several male and female third and fourth grade classmates, including the girls’ breasts and thighs.
According to police, these contacts occurred between October last year and April this year, as evidenced by security video aboard the school bus.
Suquenita’s transportation provider, Rohrer Bus Company, reportedly dismissed Straining on April 14.
