Following a weekend snowfall, many school districts stated how they would manage the predicted freezing temperatures in Northeast Ohio this week.
On Tuesday, dozens of schools announced closures or delays, including Avon Lake City Schools, Canton City Schools, Elyria City Schools, Lakewood City Schools, Lorain City Schools, Massillon City Schools, and North Ridgeville Schools.
Akron Public Schools and Cleveland Metropolitan School District have yet to make any statements.
Most districts were closed on Monday in honor of Presidents’ Day.
Wind chills are expected to drop below zero degrees, so school districts may follow.
