In  Texas and throughout the nation, we are fortunate to have dedicated officials who work tirelessly to ensure the safety of our communities. While many of us were enjoying the 4th of July holiday, law enforcement and border patrol agents were hard at work to prevent any illegal activities from taking place during the festivities. Their unwavering commitment to keeping our borders secure is truly commendable.

While browsing through the Facebook page of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, I came across their holiday weekend statistics. Although not all of it was related to Texas, it was remarkable to see the confiscation of over 100 lbs. of cocaine and more than 270 lbs. of meth. I must acknowledge the K-9 officers who played a significant role in this operation and deserve credit for their diligent work.

Where Were the Drugs Discovered?

U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported the confiscation of drugs from a tractor-trailer located at the Pharr International Bridge in Pharr, Texas.

These border patrol agents play a crucial role in preventing drugs from entering our communities in Texas and across the country. Their dedicated efforts help to keep dangerous drugs off our streets. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work and commitment to keeping our communities safe.
