Harris County’s own modern-day “Bonnie and Clyde” duo has been apprehended following a series of suspected auto thefts and VIN tampering. Sergeant Pleytez from the office of Constable Mark Herman led the investigation, which ended at an address on Day Trip Trail, where both an adult male and a female suspect were arrested. According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4, the investigation into this illegal organization turned up more than just petty theft; it also revealed a hoard of stolen luxury sports car worth more than $100,000.
According to a post on the Harris County Constable Precinct 4’s Facebook page, the recovered vehicles will be restored to their respective owners. The suspects are currently charged with auto theft, VIN tampering, and providing false information on title applications. Officials expect to charge the accused with further offenses as the investigation progresses.
Sergeant Pleytez and his squad have been working hard to dismantle auto theft rings with a thorough investigation.
