A homeless man was arrested for trespassing after repeatedly returning to use a service station restroom.
An employee at Sunoco on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 witnessed 34-year-old Sean Glenn Rigsby enter the business and bathe in the bathroom around midnight on May 15, according to an arrest complaint from the Lady Lake Police Department. Rigsby then filled a drink cup with frozen slush and drank it before paying. The staff then ordered him to leave the store.
Rigsby returned to the business about midnight on May 20, and the clerk again told him to leave. The employee contacted the police to report the assault, but Rigsby had left before the officers arrived. Rigsby returned the next day at 11 p.m., and the employee again ordered him to leave. He fled before police arrived, according to the complaint.
Rigsby returned to Sunoco around 5:30 a.m. Thursday. The staff told him to leave again and summoned law enforcement. An officer went to the call but was unable to locate him. However, when the officer returned to Sunoco, he observed Rigsby wandering in the grass near the car wash on the property, according to the report.
According to the complaint, the employee recognized Rigsby as the trespasser, who was then detained.
Rigsby was charged with trespassing and taken to the Lake County Jail. The bond was set at $1,000.
He was also arrested in January 2023 for stealing a drink at a Wawa in Leesburg.
