According to a spokesperson from the Harris County District Attorney’s office in Texas, the man accused of murdering his pregnant wife in Houston was released from jail on bond over the weekend.

Gilley initially had a bond set at $1 million last week. He was able to post that bond and has since been released from jail.

The suspect was released on Monday, October 21st and has a scheduled court appearance for arraignment on November 20th.

Officers received a distress call regarding a potential suicide at approximately 11:30 p.m. on October 7th. Lee Gilley, who discovered his wife unconscious at their residence, immediately contacted the authorities. Tragically, Christa Gilley was later pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
