HOUSTON – A disturbing body camera video captures the moment a Houston Police Department officer struck a mother walking with her three children on September 19.

The mother, her daughter, and a family friend had just exited the bus in the 5300 block of Antoine Drive and were crossing the street, according to police.

The body camera footage shows two HPD officers driving along Antoine Drive. The officers were reportedly transporting an arrested suspect to the Joint Processing Center.

As the officers approach the intersection at Pinemont, dashcam video reveals the patrol car hitting the mother and children while they were in the middle of the road. The second officer in the vehicle is heard exclaiming, “Oh my f***** God. You didn’t see them? Oh my f****** God, Kennedy.”

The passenger officer quickly exits the car to perform CPR on the mother while the children stand around her, crying. One child is heard pleading, “Mom, wake up please.”

The Houston Fire Department paramedics rushed the mother to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
