Investigators from Harris County Constable Precinct 4 have shut down an illegal game room in Houston following an undercover operation. The establishment, located on Hollister Road, was discovered to be involved in illegal gambling.
According to a news release from Constable Mark Herman’s office, the operation yielded roughly $6,400 in suspected gambling earnings, multiple illegal gaming equipment, and documents supporting unlawful gambling. Son Van Nguyen, a company employee, faces criminal charges for possessing gaming device paraphernalia. His bond from County Court 6 was set at $100.
Constable Herman emphasized the dangers of illegal gambling establishments, claiming they attract criminal activity and endanger community safety. “The proceeds from these establishments are used to fund very serious criminal enterprises,” he told me.
