The National Weather Service Northern Indiana has recently issued a severe thunderstorm watch for certain areas in Indiana and Ohio. The watch, which is in effect until 7 PM EDT Sunday, encompasses several major cities, including Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Muncie, Dayton, and Columbus.

The National Weather Service has issued a warning for residents to brace themselves for isolated hail, which could be as big as ping pong balls, and scattered wind gusts that may reach 70 mph. The warning also states that there is a high likelihood of frequent lightning, which could pose additional risks to the already dangerous situation. It is highly advisable for people to take all the necessary precautions to stay safe during this period.

Officials are advising locals to remain indoors, ensure that any loose outdoor items are secured, and stay up-to-date with weather updates. This storm watch is impacting roughly 7.88 million individuals, 2,368 schools, and 157 hospitals, emphasizing the crucial need to take safety precautions seriously.
