Lack of delta 8 rules is discouraging even dispensaries from selling it

We must issue a correction regarding the video that was previously attached to this story. It featured a local business that is not involved in the sale of Delta 8 or related products. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Ohio officials are speaking out about the regulation of Delta 8 products and their sale. A dispensary in the area has reportedly removed Delta 8 from its shelves due to the absence of proper regulations surrounding the product.

According to Delta Dispo’s owners, there is a significant need for more education in the cannabis industry as a whole.

Joseph Carico, co-owner of Delta, highlights the ambiguity surrounding cannabis, stating that there is a significant gray area that requires extensive research. As his fellow co-owner, Thomas Kennedy, noted earlier, there are various aspects of cannabis that are yet to be explored.

According to Kennedy, there are widespread concerns about the negative aspects of the product and the insufficient research conducted on it.

Currently, in Ohio, individuals are permitted to purchase products that contain a small percentage of THC.

House Bill 642 is Ohio Rep. Sara Carruthers’ attempt to bring about change.

The Department of Agriculture would be responsible for establishing age limitations for the acquisition of Delta 8 products, as well as instituting a consequence for selling it to minors.

The Senate is currently working on a bill that seeks to regulate Delta 8 and enforce a ban on smoking and vaping in public spaces.

In the absence of state regulations, Carico and Kennedy have taken it upon themselves to implement their own set of rules. They have already established regulations to ensure that their operations follow ethical and legal standards.

Carico emphasized the importance of maintaining a 21 and older policy, even for their comedy club, stating, “It’s a stance we’re committed to avoiding.”
