League City police arrest Texas City man for aggravated robbery

A man from Texas City, aged 30, has been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery after an incident at a business in League City, according to the League City Police Department.

The robbery took place on November 15, 2024, at around 11:50 a.m. The police were alerted to the robbery at a business in the 600 block of W FM 517. The suspect, described as a 6-foot-tall Black male with brown eyes and a gap in his teeth, was seen fleeing west on W FM 517 wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.

The victim reported that the suspect entered the store, brandished a revolver, and demanded money. The victim complied, and no harm was done. The case was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division of the League City Police Department, and after diligent work, the suspect was identified as Joshua Johnson.

On December 18, 2024, at approximately 2:33 p.m., Johnson was taken into custody without incident during a traffic stop in the 200 block of Estelle Circle in Texas City, with the assistance of the Special Investigations Unit detectives.
