Two local residents have won $500 after playing the Mississippi Lottery.
According to a press release from the Mississippi Lottery Commission, there was a $500 winner in both Durant and Walnut Grove.
The winning tickets were part of the Sizzling Summer Cash Bonus Promotion.
Additional winners were:

- *$10,000: Gulfport, Miss.
- *$5,000: Bolton, Miss.
- *$1000: Jackson, Miss.
- *$1000: Thaxton, Miss.
- *$500: Oxford, Miss.
All non-winning hot games entered into the Sizzlin’ Summer Cash Bonus Promotion are immediately placed into the 2nd Chance Promotional drawings for the appropriate tickets at the end of the games for $20,000, $100,000, or $200,000!
The forthcoming drawing will again feature prizes of $15,000, $10,000, $5,000, two (2) $1,000, and three (3) $500.
