Longtime Alabama commit Anthony Rogers is still exploring all of his options as he enters his senior year of high school.

The 4-star Carver-Montgomery running back has committed to Nick Saban’s Alabama program in June 2023.

He told AL.com on Wednesday in Montgomery that he is still committed to the Crimson Tide, but he is also getting a lot of attention from other clubs.

He said, “I have a lot of schools pulling at me.” “I’ll make some official visits this fall, and then I’ll know for sure in December.”

Rogers added that Georgia, Ohio State, Auburn, and Alabama are all “in the mix.”

“I’m really looking for the same thing in all the colleges—just a comfortable environment,” he told me. “Somewhere, I’d like to hang out outside of football.” I’m looking into a college with a scheme that fits my needs, potentially early playing time, and an overall healthy environment.”

Rogers, ranked No. 13 on AL.com’s A-List of top senior recruits, began his high school career at Pike Road in Montgomery. He helped the squad win the state championship in 2021, rushing for 1,626 yards and 22 touchdowns as a sophomore before transferring to IMG Academy for his junior year.

He stated that he returned to Montgomery to be with family and friends for his senior season. Carver’s head coach, Bobby Carr, has naturally welcomed him back.

“He’s a great talent,” Carr stated. “He’s a better person and a fantastic teammate. That’s what matters. Anthony does a lot with the ball, and I believe people underestimate his selflessness. We spend a lot of time playing him at the slots. We have Trey Berry from Lanier, who has roughly 20 offers and also plays in the backfield. We’re moving Anthony all over the place. He’s not a selfish individual. He’s not the type of guy who always wants the ball. It’s about us, not him, and that’s his mindset.”

Rogers and the Wolverines will begin the season against Vestavia Hills in the AHSAA Kickoff Classic on August 23 at Montgomery’s Cramton Bowl.
